I work with individuals and couples, particularly those from Latine and immigrant backgrounds. I support clients to break unhealthy generational cycles and draw upon generational resilience and strength. I also work with helping professionals wanting to come into better alignment with their values personally and professionally.

My practice embraces the parts of us we may have learned to mistrust - the wisdom of our bodies, emotions, and intuition. I work with clients to restore that trust and build more fulfilling relationships with self and others.

My work as a therapist integrates evidence-based approaches to healing trauma and awareness of the larger social forces that contribute to our experience of ourselves. I see the healing and empowerment that happens in therapy as an important part of building a better world.

  • Therapy is an opportunity to share your struggles in a supportive, non-judgmental space. Together, we will identify your therapy goals and discuss which approaches will be helpful.

    I often focus on short term goals to address your most urgent symptoms and long term goals to address root causes and create lasting change.

    The therapeutic relationship should be a place where you are treated with dignity and respect, where you feel safe to be yourself. It is also reasonable to expect measurable change as a therapy client.

  • The term complex trauma refers to prolonged exposure to traumatic conditions over time. A common source of complex trauma is unhealthy relationship patterns in our families of origin or adult relationships. It may have looked like physical, sexual or verbal abuse, but it also may have looked like neglect, such as untreated mental illness or substance abuse, one or more family member's needs being prioritized over others’, or one or more family member's experience being consistently dismissed, invalidated or ignored.

  • Reiki is a Japanese energy healing tradition. I use Reiki as an optional supplement to traditional talk therapy to support clients in developing internal awareness. Reiki gently and non-intrusively helps clients experience much-needed safety in their bodies.
